Becoming an author

I think i'm finally ready to start putting the first few chapters of my book together I've always wanted to write a novel but i never had "the idea" but my characters came to me one day while i was cleaning up after dinner.. and i then my novel was born (well at least the idea of it)
Just thought i'd let you know and i will keep you all up dated with how it progresses.

Hope your all well & having a wonderful summer :)

Delirium (review)

I started this book a week ago, but it took me 3 days to get past the first 50 pages, then I came on holiday which is where I'm writing this post from.. And I have been here two days and I have devoured this book, it completely absorbed  me I just lost the best part of two days to the story of Lena and Alex, which starts in Portland  and love has been diagnosed as a disease, and everyone is offered the cure to love at 18 this is where the story picks up with Lena at first the character reminds me  more of Tally in uglies, With the lack of confidence and insecurities but as the book progressed Lena became a heroin and a much more likable character who i could liken to Katniss in the hunger games..  if you enjoyed either of the hungers games or uglies  then I urge you to read this book because it won't disappoint.. I have already started the second installment Pandemonium. Which I'm already really enjoying!

Miss GlossyBox July/August

I cancelled my subscription to Glossy box last month, but i thought i'd give Miss Glossy box another chance, because at £7 every other month, i do think its better quality for money, and with it being high street there is a better chance of me re-buying the products.
This is what i received this month..
  • Glossy box false lashes, these are going to go to waste as i can't stand false lashes, they just don't suit me at all.
  • Beyonce Midnight heat tester, I am glad to get this as Beyonce Heat is my favourite perfume so i'm looking forward to trying this.
  • Kiss Nail Wraps, I've never had a successful go at nail wraps they never look right, but ill have another go with these.
  • VO5 Plump it up Dry Backcomb Spray I'm looking forward to trying as well, it will help me sort my beehive out for my cousins wedding in two weeks :)
  • Miss Patisserie Starlight 'Macaroon' Bath Fizzy, this is another product i'm not to bothered about I'm not a bath person, I might give these to my sister.

Overall abit of boring box, i think i might be cancelling miss glossy box aswell

Rimmel Instant + Gradual Glow.

I didn't know what to expect when i brought this, I've had months and never had a reason to try it especially with the weather being rubbish but the last week has been beautiful so i thought i'd give it a go...
The instant tan is a nice colour, not to dark but a nice bronze.. I haven't noticed the gradual tan yet but i've only used it twice so i probably haven't even given it a proper chance.. So i will yet back to you on that..

What's your Favourite Instant tan?

Skin Perfection

Hi Girlies,
I picked this up after seeing something that miss budget beauty wrote about its being part of her nightly routine, And then i saw it in Asda for £3 and i had to pick it up. As you can see I've used half the bottle, this stuff feels amazing, it leaves your skin feeling so soft and clean. I would really recommend it especially for them evening when you can't be bothered to properly cleanse your face. i
Its currently on offer in boots - Here

Book Wishlist

New York City, 1924: the height of Prohibition and the whole city swims in bathtub gin.
Rose Baker is an orphaned young woman working for her bread as a typist in a police precinct on the lower East Side. Every day Rose transcribes the confessions of the gangsters and murderers that pass through the precinct. While she may disapprove of the details, she prides herself on typing up the goriest of crimes without batting an eyelid.
But when the captivating Odalie begins work at the precinct Rose finds herself falling under the new typist's spell. As do her bosses, the buttoned up Lieutenant Detective and the fatherly Sergeant. As the two girls' friendship blossoms and they flit between the sparkling underworld of speakeasies by night, and their work at the precinct by day, it is not long before Rose's fascination for her new colleague turns to obsession.
But just who is the real Odalie, and how far will Rose go to find out?
It just sounds like an amazing read. And definitely my kind of book.

Next is Delirium (Trilogy) - Lauren Oliver
-They say that the cure for love will make me happy and safe forever. And I've always believed them.
Until now.
Now everything has changed. Now, I'd rather be infected with love for the tiniest sliver of a second than live a hundred years suffocated by a lie.
There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it.
Then, at last, they found the cure.
I have heard great things about this book and i have been told it will fill The Hunger Games gap, that Mockingjay left, and my love of Katniss. I can only hope.
If you haven't read The Hunger Games, then i really recommend it.
You can find it here - The Hunger Games

Where'd You Go Bernadette - Maria Semple
-Bernadette Fox is notorious.
To Elgie Branch, a Microsoft wunderkind, she's his hilarious, volatile, talented, troubled wife.
To fellow mothers at the school gate, she's a menace.
To design experts, she's a revolutionary architect.
And to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, quite simply, mum.
Then Bernadette disappears. And Bee must take a trip to the end of the earth to find her.
WHERE'D YOU GO, BERNADETTE is a compulsively readable, irresistibly written, deeply touching novel about misplaced genius and a mother and daughter's place in the world.
This book sounds like book that i won't be able to put down, and i'm so excited to start reading it.

The White Queen. - Philippa Gregory
-Internationally bestselling author Philippa Gregory brings the tumult and intrigue of The Wars of the Roses to vivid life through the women of the House of Lancaster and the House of York, beginning with the story of Elizabeth Woodville, the White Queen. A woman who won the love of a king and ascended to royalty by virtue of her beauty, Elizabeth fought tenaciously for the success of her family -- her daughter who would one day unite the warring dynasties, and her two sons whose eventual fate has confounded historians for centuries: the Princes in the Tower. An active player in the power struggles that surrounded her, she made hard and courageous choices, always trying to protect those whom she loved. Informed by impeccable research and framed by her inimitable storytelling skills, Philippa Gregory gives an unforgettable voice to an extraordinary woman at the heart of a devastating conflict.
I love this story and the Television show is beautifully done. And i got very excited when i realised its one of five books in the cousins war trilogy .

Gel Pro from George

I picked this nail varnish up from Asda on Friday, And to be honest i wasn't expecting much, but my sister brought a nude one which she loves. So i thought i would give it go, The varnish it self is quite thick, and gloopy, and but it does go on evenly, and after two coats i had a nice even colour. But it didn't last more than two hours before it started to chip off and before the end of the night i had no colour on the one hand.

So overall not worth the money, and you can get a better polish for the price.

(£2 currently on offer.. £3 there after.)
